Uekusa Yuta was born February 14th 1995, in Tokyo, Japan, son of another Johnny's member, Uekusa Katsuhide from Shonentai. He and his father are the second case of both father and son being in the Johnny's agency.
He is an active Johnny's Junior since May 2007, and he not only appears regularly on Shounen Club, but also has acted in one of the sequels of the popular Japanese drama "3 nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei" season 8.
He often performs along with similar-aged Juniors, like Kyomoto Taiga, Morimoto Shintarou, Casey Anderson, Morita Myuto and Kanda Noriyuki. Besides, lately, he has been singing as a duo with Kyomoto on the Shounen Club, mostly covering Tegomass' songs.
